RECONSTRUCTION WITHOUT SURGERY

The body defects correction, after the improvement of PMMA procedures is now possible without surgery. We use injectable implant, composed of micro spheres of polymethylmethacrilate with  diameter of 40 microns. It is presented as a suspension in a chemical colloid and is biologically inert, biocompatible, without protein molecule, promoting definitive correction of depressions in any part of the organism.
By virtue of its diameter and lack of any irregularity on its surface, the micro spheres are phagocytized only in a very small proportion, remaining in the site where they where placed. The substance causes a foreign body reaction, formation of collagen tissue and new blood vessels growing. By its chemical composition, the colloid also remains where it was been placed, thus collaborating with the filling stability.
According to the literature this reaction is progressive, beginning in hours and prolonging for 2 months. The utilization of the PMMA with the suspensor medium, has been clinically observed for 4 years already, being preceded by microbiological, histological and biocompatibility studies.
Correction of defects is instantaneous, not painful, definitive and has not show any kind of serious complication until this moment.
